Coach Smith began teaching and coaching at Villa Walsh Academy in the fall of 2023. She teaches Physical Education, Health, and Driver's Education and also coaches JV volleyball and the middle school spring clinics. Coach Smith comes to Villa Walsh with 15 years of experience teaching Physical Education and Health at a therapeutic high school for students with emotional disturbances. Before becoming the head coach for the Mountain Lakes girls' basketball team in 2015, Coach Smith was an assistant coach for the women's basketball team at Felician College, a Division II program. Playing basketball for a top high school team and AAU program, she earned a D1 scholarship to Iona University and played for Tony Bozzella. She has completed her NFHS Level One and Level Two National Coach Certifications. |
