Mental Wellness Support

It is the mission of Villa Walsh’s School Counselor to support the development of each student as a whole person and child of God. Villa Walsh is committed to helping students develop healthy and effective problem-solving skills and manage complex situations as they navigate adolescence. Our counselor helps students thrive as strong, resilient and well-adjusted young women with self-awareness and the ability to take responsibility for oneself.

Mrs. Negrin, the Student Assistance Counselor, focuses on the social and emotional needs of students. Appointment types include student counseling, meditation and parent meetings. In-person and Zoom meetings are available. Students may choose to seek support for:

  • Stress management

  • Coping, problem-solving and decision-making concerns

  • School adjustment issues

  • Peer relationships and conflict resolution

  • Grief and loss

  • Community resources and referrals

Mrs. Negrin is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Students can request a meeting here or simply stop by the counseling office on the second floor of Browne Hall. Students can also be referred by a teacher, administrator, or parent.
