At Villa Walsh, the college process is a four-year partnership, with group presentations offered during freshman and sophomore years and individualized guidance for families beginning junior year. With an eye on the unique skills and talents of every student, we focus on each person's academic success and offer advice regarding study strategies, activities, elective testing, course selection, career goals, and the college search and application process.
During junior and senior years, the guidance counselor works closely with each student to determine her priorities as she chooses a college and identifies an appropriate list of schools. Discussion topics include financial aid, scholarships, NCAA athletics and college curriculum. By the end of junior year, each student prepares a college essay and constructs an activities resume.
Villa Walsh offers on-site school day administration of the PSAT, SAT and ACT each year.
Villa Walsh students are regularly named National Merit Scholars, National Commended Students, and National Advanced Placement Scholars.
