Sr. Elaine Bebyn has been the Principal of Villa Walsh Academy since 2020. Prior to this role, she was named Interim Principal in 2019. Sr. Elaine came to Villa Walsh in 2010 as the Director of Formation for her community, and also began serving the Academy in the guidance department and then as Assistant Principal. She entered the Religious Teachers Filippini after graduating high school and spent 22 years in the classroom teaching classes from Pre-K-12th grade. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child Study from St. Joseph College and then a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Hood College and a Master of Science in Theology from Seton Hall University. She served as Principal of Mary of Nazareth Catholic Elementary School in Darnestown, MD, a school in which she was one of the founding five Sisters. Her desire to continue St. Lucy’s mission of educating and empowering women is her main focus as principal. |
